AHDI Annual Convention & Exposition (ACE)
Printout of seminar materials
Hello,
I will be in Austin next week attending my second convention. Since I am traveling by myself and am on a limited income, I registered for 1 day only (Thursday). I have just seen on the interactive schedule a seminar that I would like to get a handout of the principles that will be presented (if possible). The seminar is "MT Intelligence: The Value of MTs in HIT Implementations."
I ask because I want to present to my supervisor the things that I learned at this convention, and I strongly want to present to her and other higher ups the value I and my colleagues are to the patient story if whether or not they want to replace us in the future.
If a handout is possible, please let me know. I figured there is no harm in asking.

Hi Ann,
That's fantastic that you are coming to ACE, and we look forward to meeting you! I have emailed Gary David, the speaker of that session, to check if he will have a handout or PowerPoint to share with attendees and will let you know what I hear back.
Also of note, all of the sessions at ACE will be recorded, and those recordings are available for purchase after the convention. Lawrence Media, the company we contracted to do the recordings, will be there onsite close to the registration area. You or your company may want to consider purchasing that recording. You can buy the entire conference CD or just individual sessions. Individual sessions are generally around $12 each.
We always request electronic copies of handouts and PowerPoints from all of our speakers and all the ones we receive are posted on our web site. This information, along with conference CD purchasing info, will be included in our post-ACE blast sent to attendees and other AHDI e-mails. We'll be sure to post that info on this ACE365 site too.

Update: Heard from Gary and he said his materials will all be available. We will get them posted to the areas I mentioned after the convention.
