I have a real problem with the $50 discount! I've attended these conventions for several years and have made sure I registered early for both the conference and my hotel room and yet I get a $20 discount. I'm just as strapped for money as the next person. Do you really think this will get more people to attend? This is up there with extending the early bird deadline after everyone has already tied up their finances and made their reservation on or before the original deadline.
Thank you for your post. This is a great opportunity to invite more folks to join us in Austin. The $50 was offered after early bird registration closed, and yes, our hope is that it will help those who are still deciding about ACE, especially with regular registration prices for an individual professional at $450. It is also specifically offered to AHDI members as a featured benefit, so the AHDI member price would end up at $400 for professional member registration.
We certainly understand this economy is difficult on everyone, which is why we try to keep our convention costs reasonable. We totally appreciate your committment and organization to have made your plans so far in advance, and it sounds like you and others who registered early were able to secure the best individual professional price at $340. I look forward to meeting you in Austin so please introduce yourself when we are there together, and if you have any questions or if I can be of any further assistance, you can reach me at karen.fox@foxtx.net.
